  La Playa Loud River Roaring Red, 2009, Colchagua Valley, Chile $12.99  The Tinguiririca River, flows from the high Andes Mountains across Chile to the Pacific Ocean. In the spring, when the snow-capped peaks begin to melt, the placid stream becomes a Loud River. Loud River Roaring Red is full bodied blend of 40% spicy carmenere, 30% rich syrah and 30% peppery petit verdot. The wine is full of expressive cherry and berry flavors which bursts with rich, ripened plums sparked with spices, pepper and tobacco.
